Multiple Teams · Big Second Half Propels Lady Cards

Big Rapids – It was a great High School basketball atmosphere on Friday night in Big Rapids and the game didn’t disappoint as the Cardinals knocked of the Reed City Coyotes 63-52 in CSAA action.  The win moves Big Rapdis to 12-0 on the season and keeps them in first place at 10-0 in CSAA play.

After a back and forth first half that saw the Coyotes take a five point lead into the break, Big Rapids was able to buckle down on the strength of Kendra Enszer and Taylor Leach.  Enszer led the Cardinals with 19 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks and Leach had 11 rebounds and 11 rebounds.  Big Rapids also got stong performances from freshman Shannon Thompson who had 12 points and Liz Nonhof who had 11 points.
