Big Rapids – The Big Rapids Boys Soccer season came to an end on Monday evening with a 2-0 first round loss to Forest Hills Northern in District action. The Cardinals came out a little sluggish and the Huskies were able to score two first half goals and hang on for the victory.
Although the Cardinals were able to get more pressure on Forest Hills in the second half they couldn’t get onto the scoreboard. A couple of good chances ended up just wide of the target while the Husky goal keeper was able to stop a couple more as Big Rapids ran out of time.
Even though the season ended quickly on Monday night, it was a season to remember for the Cardinals who will graduate fifteen seniors at the end of this year. Setting a school record for wins along the way was a great accomplishment and one they can all be proud of.
