Stanton – The Cardinal Boys basketball team got in the win column on Tuesday night as they were able to pull away for a 74 – 45 victory over the Central Montcalm Hornets. The Cardinals used big first and third quarters to seperate and cruise to a comfortbale victory. After a tough shooting performance last Friday against Reed City, the Cardinals made seven three point baskets and received big efforts from Dario Williams who had 24 points and Nick Baldwin who ended up with 20 points.
The Cardinals were also able to control the boards with the inside presence of Jake Daugherty and Austin Brinker who combined for 20 rebounds while also chipping in 14 points as an inside duo.
The Cardinals will be in action again on Friday as they play host to the White Cloud Indians in CSAA play with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
